“On a recent trip to the Smithsonian museum I noticed that an old version of Jesus with the sacred heart had a resemblance to Clark Kent revealing his superman suit underneath his business clothes. This was the inspiration for super zombie jesus. I am interested in how mythologies are reflected in media, how threads of mythologies intertwine. Who are our heroes? Our enemies? Whom do we learn to look up to, whom do we learn to despise? What cultivates our self control and mastery? Fear or Love? How are mythologies used to help define our decision making process? How are mythologies used to reinforce stereotypes? What images do we find offensive? What images do we find attractive? How do images shape and mold our consciousness? I’ve got more questions than answers.”

About: Dear Mina is an independent jewelry line that celebrates the natural beauties and mysteries of this planet. I create unique statement necklaces that demand attention. I am attracted to crystals, semi-precious stones and lovely rock specimens. I like to incorporate these materials into my designs with mixed metals creating wearable art pieces.
About Bonne Fille: Bonne Fille is based in San Francisco and designed by Anisa Esmail. Her initial interest in textiles led her to a different outlet through beads and crafting of feminine jewelry.
“I like to make aesthetically pleasing pretty pretty things.” Through her use of matte gold, semiprecious stones, quartz, miscellaneous objects of recycled obnoxious 80’s stage jewelry from her mothers collection and local thrift stores, Anisa is able to create a more modern and appealing look from old trends for that classic women.
Egg Jewelry is handmade in San Francisco by Eva Greene. Every item is one of a kind and made from the best gold filled chain. Eva creates jewelry that is modern with a 1920′s feel to it. The pieces stand on their own but can also be worn with jewelry you may already have at home.
Oh, and did we mention dinner? Our favorite pirates from Whiskey Commons Street Food will be fixing up a delicious shopping special including braised pork gyros and veggie portobello burgers. What better to compliment spiked holiday cider?
